Its size may be deceiving, but this Dairy Queen is one of the most precious of the legacy stores. Dating all the way back to 1950, this ice cream hut features a neon sign by the road and the iconic projecting swirl cone sign over the shop. The Salisbury Dairy Queen is one of the last of its kind with the old, hut-style ice cream booth and retro design. Its so unique that Luke Combs filmed his country music video at this location. There’s nothing like walking up windows below the red-and-white striped awning to order your favorite treat. People come from near and far for blizzards, soft serve, dipped cones, Cheerwine floats and a little bit of history. The 65-year-old Dairy Queen and its neon sign are a favorite photo stop for tourists.
