Galleries filled with native art include information on Native Americans across the United States as well as artifacts from the first inhabitants of Hatteras Island. The museum also includes an observation room overlooking a bird yard and several acres of nature trails winding through lush maritime forest.
A spacious pavilion overlooks salt marsh water and provides an ideal spot for special workshops and programs.
