John C. Campbell Folk School
Take a self-guided tour of the campus, which includes the studios, nature trails and History Center. Browse the school’s Craft Shop, showcasing the juried work of more than 300 craftspeople.
Enjoy the free Friday night concert series, featuring bluegrass, old-time, and folk music. Stay for a Saturday night contra and square dance with live music and dance callers. The school is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as a “Best of the Road” destination by Rand McNally Atlas, and as one of the “100 Best Vacations to Enrich Your Life” by National Geographic.
Founded in 1925, the John C. Campbell Folk School offers week and weekend classes for adults in traditional and contemporary craft and art, cooking, music, dance, photography, and writing. Classes are scheduled throughout the year, and are listed on the school’s website.
