In addition to spotlighting the history of Cherokee County, the museum reflects the life of the Cherokee Indian during the time of the Cherokee nation and the removal along the Trail of Tears to Oklahoma with interpretive center. Also, a mineral collection and more that 800 dolls, the oldest dating back to about 1865.
