The Wayne County Veterans Memorial is a public park perfect for honoring our military yet also relaxing in an ideal setting. The Memorial Wall has more than 50 varieties of plants and trees that welcome you as you walk through the main entrance. Also visit the Pavilion, Jaycees’ Vietnam Memorial, SJAFB Sculpture and the Wayne County Granite Map,which honors the war dead identified within each township of the county.
It's also the perfect place for veterans’ activities, military reunions and other interested groups, thus continuing its role as a living memorial. Event space can be reserved through the Goldsboro Parks and Recreation office.
