Jackson County Ale Trail

A scenic route that begins in Dillsboro and stretches through Sylva to Cashiers, Jackson County is home to more than 100 locally crafted brews and six breweries (Lazy Hiker Taproom opening in August) that make up the Ale Trail. Priding themselves on using local ingredients, all breweries are family-friendly and offer at least one non-alcoholic beverage on tap. Innovation brewing has two locations in Sylva & Dillsboro offering unique hand-crafted brews. Balsam Falls Brewing Co. is known for its uniquely local vibe and its full-service kitchen with a “Cali-Mex” menu selection. Whiteside Brewing, located in Cashiers, not only has delicious brews and food year-round, it also has the largest outdoor space including seating, a stage, and a back yard for everyone to enjoy. Nantahala Brewing Sylva Outpost is newest on the scene, located in the heart of Downtown Sylva.
