Wake County Speedway
Wake County Speedway is a 1/4-mile NASCAR Sanctioned short track founded in 1962. The racing program starts in early April and continues through mid-September. Races are held on most Friday nights during the season with gates opening at 6 pm. Tickets are on sale at the main gate ticket booth. Qualifying starts at 7 pm each race night with racing beginning at 8:30 pm. "America's Favorite Bullring" - Wake County Speedway, features four large grandstands including a separate family grandstand with no alcohol allowed. Late Model Stock drivers compete at Wake County Speedway in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series points system. The track also plays host to the INEX Legend and Bandolero Series and features touring series events like the annual CARS Tour race.
