Take a step back in time in a third generation, family-owned general store. Built in 1888 and one of Stokes County’s historic landmarks, this store is packed with some of everything from the past and present. The store has been owned and operated by the Priddy family since 1929. Like many stores of the era, it was more than a location to acquire the staples needed to survive, it provided news, entertainment and a sense of belonging to the community. Stop by and see why there is so much nostalgia attached to this general store and if you are lucky, you will find something cooking in the big black pot and music on the lawn.

Priddy’s has live bluegrass Memorial Day Weekend, every Saturday in October and every Friday night in February, and Santa shows up for Christmas in December.
