Episcopal Cemetery
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Contains an important collection of gravestones and cast iron fences that illustrate funerary traditions of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Although the oldest date on a headstone is 1724, the cemetery was officially founded in 1828. The cemetery is the burial place of John C. B. Ehringhaus, governor of North Carolina from 1933 to 1937.
