Take a winemaker’s tour of the South’s oldest and largest winery and then taste your way through specially selected sips at this location where Duplin began producing its famous muscadine wines almost a half-century ago. Tour guides lead you on a 30-minute journey through the history of America’s native grapes and how Duplin crafts its award-winning wines. Along the way, you’ll see the massive crushing pad, taste muscadine grape juice before it becomes wine and then sample wine rolling off the bottling line. And, you’ll take a bottle home! Wear comfortable shoes and book the $13 tour in the winery’s retail room. Tours are offered Monday-Friday. After the tour, sit down for a Deluxe Wine Tasting that includes 10 white, red and blush wines plus Duplin’s famous cheese dip and house made crackers.
