Thomasville Visitors Center and 1870 Train Depot
Learn about all the fun things to do in Historic Thomasville! Choose between 1 of 3 self-guided walking tours. Restaurants and shops along the way!
Built in 1870, the restored structure is on the National Register of Historic Places. While it currently houses the Thomasville Visitors Center, stop by to see original passenger waiting benches (unique because the backs flip), two wall- mounted wood cases that held tickets and freight/baggage information, and framed group photos taken in the late 1930s of employees from the cotton mills and Thomasville Furniture plants. Many visitors are impressed with the beadboard interior walls and wooden floors.
