Stop and stretch your legs at the two-acre Benson Singing Grove Park, which is located in the heart of Benson's downtown shopping district, just one block from I-95, Exit 79. The park is home to activities related to the annual Benson Mule Days festival held in September. The Singing Grove is also home to the oldest festival in North Carolina, the Benson State Singing Convention, held in June each year with a history that dates back to 1922. The park offers a stage, benches, shade trees, a picnic shelter for 80-100 people with grills, and a playground for children ages 2-12.
