Persimmon Creek Trout Pond & Gem Mine provide lots of outdoor
entertainment for the whole family. Whether you are catching the
freshest rainbow trout for dinner or sluicing water over gems and
minerals in the flume, your family will have a wonderful adventure
together. Family built and operated, we are open to the public, with
no entry fees and no license needed. The public entrance is
conveniently located at 12610 W. US 64 Murphy, NC. Look for the
windmill. Open pastured eggs, raw honey, and fresh produce in season
are also sold at The Fish Shack.
Full hook ups and water/electric sites are available for
RV's, as well as tent sites for group camping. All sites have fire
rings and picnic tables. Clean restrooms and showers are available,
as well as a catch and release pond.
