This former commercial mining site is one of the area's most popular recreation mines and campgrounds. Lucky Strike is located in the Vein Mountain region of the Blue Ridge, aptly named for the state's gold rush years. Pan for gold in a stream that was mined in the early 1800s or look for gemstones in our flumes. High banking events are popular with groups and mining clubs.

Offering 51 campsites, 26 with full hook-up including electric, water and sewer, and 25 have electric and water. A dump station is available. Also available for overnight lodging is Tranquility Cabin, a recently constructed 1-bedroom/1-bath cabin situated in close proximity to the pond at the Lucky Strike.

Something new, is the custom-built concert hall available for private parties and events. The rock and wood structure includes a performance area, massive fireplace and kitchen.
