As seen in the Netflix series "28 Days Haunted," Madison Dry Goods and Dry Goods Country Store entices those who enjoy shopping, history, and even the paranormal. Visitors shop while enjoying a glimpse of the past that pays tribute to the earliest occupants of this historic building.

In its former life, Madison Dry Goods served as a hardware store and funeral home. The newly expanded Lawson Family Murder Museum currently occupies the former embalming room, the embalming room where all eight bodies of the Lawson family were prepared for burial following the 1929 Christmas Day massacre.
