Alleghany Historical Museum

The Alleghany Historical Museum showcases the heritage of the county beginning in 1859 when Alleghany County was formed. The museum displays artifacts used by local ancestors. Each month features a different group of local ancestors, for instance, previous month's exhibits have featured veterans and local women of the community.

Please call ahead in the winter months to verify the hours, as the museum may be closed due to bad weather or road conditions.
