The Dismal Swamp Trail is a 3 mile asphalt trail, between Hwy 17 and the Dismal Swamp Canal in Camden County. This path weaves among the trees, providing a great place for biking, hiking, birding, photography or relaxing on benches along the way. The 5' extension on Hwy 343 extends into the village of South Mills, adding another 1.5 miles. Bikes may be borrowed from Dismal Swamp Welcome Center for use on trail.

Member of the NC Birding Trail, East Coast Greenway and NC Trails Program. Wheelchair accessible.
