Caro-Mi Dining Room
Drive across a covered bridge over the Pacolet River and you have arrived at this rustic country eatery that’s been serving upscale meals since the early 1950s. This place is an institution! People drive from far and wide – chasing childhood memories or a feature article they read once – to taste the Southern fried chicken, fresh mountain trout or one of the many other mouth-watering meals served with biscuits and unlimited side dishes brought for the table to share. Did we mention their desserts? A must try is their famous Tarheel Pie! You will find a casual atmosphere with rocking chairs on the front porch and scenic views overlooking the river. Caro-Mi has been featured in several magazines and on television, including Food Network! They do things old school – open year-round Wednesday-Saturday for dinner only, reservations welcomed, cash or check only.
