Laurinburg's 'Tis The Season Christmas

Come the Christmas Season, each weekend downtown Laurinburg turns into a scene from a Hallmark movie. Volunteers dressed as elves decorate 100 Christmas trees placed throughout downtown, storefronts sparkle with lights, windows display seasonal scenes, and a robust calendar of festivities fill each weekend — from a Christmas tree lighting to a parade with dancing Santas.

 It all kicks off on November 24 with Christmas on Main, an afternoon filled with Christmas music, food, arts and crafts vendors. But that’s just the beginning. A life-sized Christmas ornament is ready for your holiday family pictures. Forget Rudolph: A cute colony of four-foot-tall (wooden) penguins will be calling Laurinburg home.  And in addition to downtown being lit with thousands of lights, the Laurinburg Chamber of Commerce will host the Great Christmas Light Contest – highlighting homes throughout the county.
