Celebration of Lights

Small-town holiday spirit is alive at the Celebration of Lights! This annual tradition includes hundreds of thousands of lights throughout Village Park.

Ride the Winterland Express train, a CP Huntington G24 Engine that delights kids and adults, and the Double Decker Carousel, a classic attraction made in Italy that features hand-painted murals and over 1,800 lights. Roast marshmallows, make holiday crafts, take photos with Santa and view performances by the Kannapolis Singing Bears and the famed Leonard Bearstein Symphony Orchestra. Throughout December, enjoy area choirs, a holiday marketplace and food trucks.

Park admission and viewing of the lights and bears are free; tickets ($2/person) are required to ride the carousel and train. Free parking is available at Village Park.
