RiverPark at Cooleemee Falls The Bull Hole
“The Bull Hole” features an impressive stone dam, a sandy beach deposited there by a flood, and good fishing in the spring and fall. Bring your bathing suit to swim and ride the little rapids – but you’re urged to wear an old pair of tennis shoes in the river because the granite bedrock bottom is known for its slippery moss. Please note: swim at your own risk as there is no lifeguard. Portages are available for canoeing and kayaking.
There are scattered picnic tables and benches along the beautiful wooded trails. Restrooms are located near the main parking area. The handsome big shelter can be rented and is perfect for family reunions or church gatherings.
* An entrance fee will be charged daily from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, as well as on weekends in April, May, and September. $5 per car. $1 per walk-ins.
